Throughout the school year, students from Hālau Kū Māna, Roosevelt High School, and University Laboratory School have been developing prototype businesses and products to meet their community clients needs - City and County of Honolulu's Office of Climate Change, Resiliency, and Sustainability; Laukahi; and the Polynesian Voyaging Society. This day is an opportunity to learn more about the student prototypes. Join us to check out these real-world examples of place-based, culture-based, community-based, student-derived, and student-driven innovations and explore ways to invest in these prototypes as individuals and organizations.
What does the future of learning look like here on Oʻahu, and around the world? How can we leverage our place in Hawaiʻi, our cultural heritage, and emerging technologies to move our islands towards a more thriving, sustainable future? Where can we get a glimpse of this future, today?
This special event aims to bring together youth from across Oʻahu with an “unPanel” of local and global thought leaders and changemakers at the intersection of education, culture, social impact, entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. Each “unPanel” member will pose a question to the youth to spark the sharing of their vision for the future of learning and education for Oʻahu and the world.
Join us for a thought- and action-provoking evening. By invitation only. Youth and their teachers/mentors given priority for this event.
